Low pressure to bring rains from Tuesday in Oman

Muscat – The most recent climate charts and analyses of the Nationwide Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre point out a low pressure, which can end result in rain over massive components of the sultanate from Tuesday.

In a climate alert, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) stated that there are possibilities of thunderstorms and rain of various depth over the Al Hajar mountains from Tuesday, April 18 to Friday, April 21, particularly the mountainous areas in the governorates of Dakhliyah, Al Wusta, North Sharqiyah and South Sharqiyah.

Through the peak of the low pressure, rainfall will vary between 20mm to 45mm on Wednesday and Thursday, inflicting wadis to overflow. Showers accompanied by hail and energetic downdraft winds measuring 28-64kmph are anticipated, CAA said.

CAA suggested all to be cautious throughout rains and in flowing wadis, and to verify the state of the ocean earlier than crusing.
