ACWA Power rolls out commercial project in Abu Dhabi



ACWA Power Firm has obtained a commercial operation certificates from Emirates Water and Electrical energy Firm (EWEC) for Group 2 of Taweelah RO Desalination Firm in Abu Dhabi.

The Group 2 has a each day manufacturing capability of 378,689 cubic metres of desalinated water, in accordance with a bourse submitting.

In the meantime, Group 1 started commercial operation on 9 June 2022, holding a each day capability of 454,609 cubic metres of desalinated water.

The full capability of the Taweelah RO facility stands at 833,298 cubic metres each day.

ACWA Power, which owns a 40% stake in Taweelah RO Desalination, anticipated that the monetary affect of Group 2 will start from the second quarter (Q2) of 2023 onwards.
