The Japanese and U.S. air forces conducted joint drills over the Sea of Japan on Thursday after North Korea’s ballistic missile launch, the Japanese defence ministry stated.
“Japan’s Self-Defence Forces and the U.S. military conducted the joint training drill as the security environment surrounding Japan is becoming more and more severe, with North Korea launching ballistic missiles that could be ICBM-class ballistic missiles from a high angle,” the ministry stated in an announcement.
